The title translates to ‘’Promise of going back.’’
This song is about Latin-American immigration to Canada and Quebec. Any immigrant can relate to this, but I think that Latin Americans get a little extra from it. It refers to the feeling of nostalgia that most immigrants have, and about that feeling of saudade that the sacrifice of staying here provokes. Leaving your country is brutal and crazy, but also beautiful.
